1968-1969 Gibson SG Standard Killer Player Modified Guitar Cherry 1960's 1970's

This listing is for a unique player modified 1968 or 1969 Gibson SG Standard electric guitar. I got this a while ago and the previous owner really went to town modifying the guitar. The guitar is a monster player and the neck has a fabulous chunky profile. The original lyre tremolo has been removed and the body was converted to a string through body with a Nashville style bridge. The electronics have also been completely changed out. The guitar had a severe headstock crack and was repaired solidly but the repair is not very pretty to say the least. The guitar also has a small stress crack at the heel and strap button area, see pics. The guitar has been professionally set up and actually plays great and sounds killer. The neck pickup a Gibson PAF reissue and the bridge is a Duncan "Slash" APH2B alnico 2 pro Slash pickup. The guitar wired with a master volume and kill switch along with the standard two pickup SG wiring set up. The wiring has all been redone with new CTS pots. The body was obviously routed for the master volume. The pickguard is original but modified to accommodate the master volume knob. The knobs are repro knobs and the tuners are schaller.   This is a player guitar all the way and has holes in the top and lots of wear along with the two repairs I mentioned before. The repairs are complete and the guitar is ready to go. The neck is really nice and chunky and full. The nut width is 1 & 9/16ths but it's still nice fat neck. The guitar was a little tricky to date because the serial number is covered by the headstock repair and the original pots we're not in the guitar. My estimate is from 1968-1969 based on the no volute, no made in USA stamp and no dot over the i in Gibson. It's likely the original serial number is under the overspray on the headstock.
