A vintage hand painted cardboard plaque displaying the Polish "RAWICZ" (
Rawa)
lineage coat of arms. Also comes with a smaller version of the plaque, hand painted on paper. The coat of arms emblazoned as a shield, with a princess sitting on a bear and wearing royal vestments of crown and robe; above the shield is a knight's helmet from which two antlers extend upward; between the antlers is a second bear in upright position, its arm extended out to the left holding a rose near its face. The smaller display piece contains the same crest, with minor differences between itself and the larger plaque and also with "
HONOR AT NIHIL
" written underneath.
Exact date of creation unknown but both items come with a certificate note stating their implied authenticity from a third-party lineage expert, and dated 1950.
Condition:
Some light wear, foxing and discoloration as expected for age.
