ANTIQUE ROYAL BAYREUTH PORCELAIN ROSE TAPESTRY FOOTED NUT BOWL

Description

This lovely, rare Royal Bayreuth porcelain, gold footed nut bowl was made in Tettau, Germany. The Rose Tapestry pattern was made during the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries. The surface of the porcelain was pressed against a coarse fabric while it was still damp, and the impressions remained on the finished porcelain, making it look and feel like a textured cloth. This bowl is in excellent condition with no cracks, scratches, chips or repairs. There’s a little wear on the bottom of the gold feet. It measures 6” wide and 3” tall.
