Description
From late 1950's or early 1960's a Gibson Les Paul Jr. This guitar has the original P90 pickup. This guitar has been refinished. The previous owner stripped the paint sanded it down and stained it red. This was bought by me in a box, about 1972, disassembled with no paint or decal on the head. I assembled this guitar and had Milt Owen, at Barney Kessel's shop in Hollywood, paint and put the decal on the head. There appears some bleeding on the back of the neck, so this may have been the yellow. The machine heads are original. It also appears to be trimmed at the peaks of each side of the head. There is no longer a serial number. I also replaced the metal strip the owner had over the control cavity and replaced it with the original equipment. There is no case. (While I was at Milt Owen's shop, Keith Richard's Moon Les Paul Custom was sitting in his shop. The neck was broken. I asked if he could repair that major break and he said, Yes. The guy was a master.)I suggest insurance for shipping. Shipping will be USPO, unless directed otherwise.
