Gibson Les Paul Standard 1983 With Kahler Bridge And Original Chainsaw Case.
For your consideration I have a 1983 Gibson Les Paul Standard in black finish. This thing has some serious mojo and still rings like a bell. Some notes on the condition of the guitar are as follows ;
Signs of wear can be found all over but are purely cosmetic. No headstock break but there is a spot on the side of the headstock where the finish has chipped. The binding has shrunk a bit but is still attached to the neck firmly. Fret nibs are still present but the frets are on their last leg and a refret will be needed in the future. Can have the guitar refretted by a reputable shop in Rockville Maryland at an up charge, this will be discussed if the buyer chooses so, and will add to the shipping time. The fretboard does have some signs of wear but nothing serious to worry about. The Kahler still function as should but does show signs of wear along with the strap buttons. The pickup selector tip has been replaced to match the pickguard which I assume are not original to the guitar. The neck pickup is a Gibson 498 (cannot verify if it’s a 498 T , I’d have to take the cover off which I won’t do) and the bridge is a Seymour Duncan screaming Demon. I do believe the knobs are original to the guitar but cannot verify. However, the tuners are original along with diamond strap buttons. Original chainsaw case is included and functions as should but the head rest felt has fallen off a bit but will attempt to fix before purchase. The trem bar for the bridge is also included.
