Large 14 Inch Vintage Brass Pressure Gauge by Duragauge / Ashcroft 0-160 psi

Offering a rare, unusually large 14 inch vintage Duragauge brass pressure gauge. It measures approximately 14 inches in diameter X 2 3/4 inches thick.
This is a beautiful piece of industrial history, which I bought many years ago from the estate of a WWII Navy veteran.
When these types of gauges were manufactured in the 1940’s they were considered a rugged industrial quality gauge. This one could have been used for a variety of purposes. This kind of rare, large brass gauge was often used on a giant steam boiler in prestigious buildings when someone needed to take a reading from a distance.
The included shutoff valve on the bottom was most likely provided by Ashcroft as well. It allowed the gauge to be shut-off from the pressure in the system when someone was conducting diagnostics that might cause a pressure spike, or to remove the gauge for calibration without causing a system leak.
Details:
There is a hand engraved date inside the dial which was most likely put there to indicate that a calibration check was performed on that date, 5-11-45.
The brass around the dial has a few scratches, please see photos.
The brass surface features the original patina and has not been polished.
The face is not cracked or scratched.
The indicator hand appears to be slightly bent and has lost a small amount of black finish as shown in the closeup photo.
The back of the gauge is a thick metal (typically painted).
The gauge measures ~14 inches across.
The gauge is ~2 3/4 inches thick.
The gauge weighs ~26 lbs.
The gauge is being auctioned for display purposes and has not been tested for functionality.
