Old brass, ornate shut off valve. The valve has a female thread on one end and a ribbed fitting on the other end. Not sure of the correct term for the slide on end. The valve does open and close. I have no way of knowing if it is 100 percent shut off or if it may seep a little. I am selling it as a collectible and not for actual use. The overall length of the fitting is about 2 3/8 inches long. The threaded opening is about 5/8 inch inside. The other end is a little over 3/8 inch outside to outside of the small end. It is right at 2 inches from the top of the oval shut off to the bottom of the fitting. It is being sold as is.
