    Description

    Trimont Manufacturing was founded in 1890 and was a maker of wrenches and other plumbing tools. The company was located in Roxbury, MA, and sold under the “Trimo” brand name. Additional information is minimal though their tool were sold by such entities as Montgomery Ward and Bonney. Dated catalogs can be found at the International Tool Catalog Library (
    https://archive.org/details/internationaltoolcataloglibrary?query=trimo&sin=TXT
    )
    The small Wrench was likely made in the 1930s to 1940s according to Alloy Artifacts (
    http://alloy-artifacts.org/other-makers-p3.html#trimont
    ). It is made of “Trimo Alloy” (see images) and shows the effect of years of use. There is a slight curve in the shaft of the hook jaw, but the jaws close well enough for the Wrench to function as designed. The teeth are worn, but functional, too.
    As is our custom we did only enough cleaning to identify the tool. Attention will need to be given to the threads on the knurl and hook jaw shaft, but despite the Wrench’s age, it will serve well as a daily tool or a collectible.
    We will ship the Wrench by USPS 1st Class Mail on the next regular business day following receipt payment.
