    Description

    This appears to be an antique float made by the Imperial brass Manufacturing Company of Chicago Illinois. It is not known what this float was used to measure, however it looks to have been heated at one time, for there are heated areas at the base of the float. The substance or liquid that was being measured would have been measured in increments of letters from A to T. This is a glass float model number 5550 - T. It comes in the original cardboard cylindrical container that it would have been stored in. It is just over 7 inches in length. Thank you for looking and God bless you.
