    Product Description
This exceptional vintage Elizabeth II sterling silver ashtray has a circular rounded form.
The centre of the circular well is surmounted with a cast silver figure wearing a military uniform and parachute backpack; this figure secures to the underside with a wing nut.
The broad rim incorporates two curved cigarette recesses/receivers and is encircled with the contemporary bright cut engraved inscription 'To Major J.H. Graham M.B.E. T.D. on relinquishing command of Support Company 2ND Dec 1956' and 'Presented by all Ranks of Support Company of 15TH (Scottish) Bn. The Parachute Regiment (T.A.)'.
This impressive vintage ashtray was crafted by the renowned London silversmith Garrard & Co Ltd and bears the retailer's mark 'Garrard & Co Ltd, 112 Regent Street W' to the underside of the rim.
This impressive presentation piece was crafted in the same style and bears the same central design as the bowl A8167.
    Condition
This vintage sterling silver ashtray is an exceptional gauge of silver, exceptional quality and in exceptional condition.
The piece has been professionally polished and is in presentation condition.
Full hallmarks struck to the anterior surface of the body are all very clear; the hallmarks are struck deeply due to the exceptional gauge of silver.
Reflections in photographs may detract from the true representation of this fine example of vintage silverware.
